At Colorado Custom Spas, we carry only the brands we believe in. That means exceptional materials, proven performance, and the kind of craftsmanship you can trust for years to come. What Makes Cedarwood Spas
Stand Out?

01

Real Cedar Construction

These spas aren’t wrapped in plastic or faux finishes. Each unit features authentic, sustainably sourced cedar wood — chosen for its natural resistance to the elements and its stunning, rustic beauty. Whether your spa sits beneath a pine canopy or on a modern patio, it fits right in with Colorado’s landscape.

03

Built From the Ground Up with Precision and Purpose

Each Cedarwood spa is a true labor of craftsmanship, created entirely in-house from raw, responsibly harvested Western Red Cedar. Known for its durability in damp environments, this wood resists rot and moisture naturally — a perfect fit for long-term spa use.

Instead of using pre-cut materials, Cedarwood starts with rough-sawn cedar boards. These are custom-milled into dozens of vertical staves, each one shaped through multiple stages using specialized tools. Every piece may require up to nine passes through different machines to achieve the precise contours needed for a tight, seamless fit.

Once all components are crafted, the spa is assembled from the base up. The floor is laid atop sturdy beams, and each stave is carefully placed by hand. Using traditional cooperage methods, the structure is secured with heavy-duty steel bands — torqued with precision to lock everything together. The result? A solid, watertight barrel spa that’s both timeless in design and engineered to last.

02

Simplicity Meets Performance

Cedarwood’s spa lines offer just the right balance of features and function. Whether you're seeking deep hydrotherapy, energy efficiency, or low-maintenance relaxation, there's a model to match your lifestyle.
The straightforward design of a Cedarwood Spa enhances its reliability. With easily accessible plumbing and fewer components, the likelihood of malfunctions are significantly reduced.

04

Flexible for Every Setup

Off the grid? No problem. Cedarwood offers plug-and-play options, wood-fired heating, and fully electric models — making them ideal for everything from backyard retreats to remote cabins.

Simplicity Meets Performance

Cedarwood’s spa lines offer just the right balance of features and function. Whether you're seeking deep hydrotherapy, energy efficiency, or low-maintenance relaxation, there's a model to match your lifestyle.  Cedarwood Spas are much more reliable than traditional acrylic or rotomolded hot tubs. There are no fancy touchscreens, waterfalls, or other complicated technical components. Additionally, their unique construction method makes any problem that does arise, much easier to repair.  Components and plumbing are readily accessible, unlike traditional spas that have their plumbing and jets behind plastic cabinet panels and buried in foam insulation.

A No-Pressure Way to Explore

As always, we’re here to help you explore your options without the high-pressure sales pitch. With over 8 hot tub brands in our lineup — including Cedarwood — our consultative approach ensures you’ll find the right spa for your needs.

Crafting Your Cedar Hot Tub Experience

In Colorado, four incredible seasons bring very different soaking conditions. Plan your Cedarwood Spas® site so wind, snow load, and sun exposure work in your favor. A level, well-drained foundation keeps a cedar hot tub barrel true, and an insulated cover helps retain heat and protect water quality. Think through access for delivery, a nearby hose and drain point, and a clean power run. With smart setup, you’ll enjoy stable hot tub temperatures and quiet soaks all year long as you enjoy the splendor of Colorado’s natural beauty.

Choosing Power & Heat

With a Cedarwood Spas hot tub, you have the choice of 110V or 220V heating. Daily soakers often prefer 220V electricity for steady temperatures and quicker heat-up time. Cedarwood Spas also offers gas/electric hybrid cedar hot tubs and wood-fired heating options, giving owners multiple paths to heat on their timeline. Wi-Fi control boards are available for remote monitoring and adjustments. At Colorado Custom Spas, your local hot tub dealer, we can walk you through considerations like amperage, run length, and accessory choices that influence your lifestyle and overall hot tub cost.

Cedar hot tub interiors invite a gentle approach. Keep sanitizer in range, shock after heavy use, and brush the staves lightly to discourage biofilm. Cedarwood Spas electric hot tubs come with a cartridge filter and ozone generator for clear water and fewer chemicals. This supports hot tub health benefits like relaxation and better pre-sleep routines. Rinse the cover underside monthly and leave the lid open 15 minutes after hot tub maintenance chemical dosing. A fine-mesh spa vacuum removes grit without clouding the water for fast and tidy upkeep between deeper cleans.

Pick a comfortable daily set point, then adjust with the seasons. Many hot tub owners settle between 100°–104°F for short evening soaks. Athletes often prefer 98–100°F after training. In winter, bump the hot tub temperature up a degree or two to offset heat loss when the lid opens; in summer, lower the temperature a few degrees for longer, refreshing sessions. Use a floating thermometer to verify readings at the waterline and limit lid-open time on very cold nights. Small upgrades like a cover lifter, safe-grip steps, and a towel tree make everyday use smoother and keep your total hot tub cost predictable over time.
